Meet your Instructor, Jacqueline Parks:
My name is Jacqueline Parks and I’m a Christian artist. In 2019 my sister wanted me to paint her a mermaid. The photo reference was a watercolor painting and since I was an acrylic artist I wasn’t sure I could make it look the same. After many months of procrastination, I watched a few videos on YouTube and took the plunge. Using a $10 paint set and a $5 brush set I went to work. The nerves and bit of anxiety made it a humbling experience. I asked God to help me paint it. He sure did too. I can’t take credit for any of the beauty that is created in my paintings. He’s got His hand on mine and it’s a beautiful relationship between us. If you’ve just stumbled across my channel, I hope it is a blessing to you.
Ephesians 2:10 says, For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. I pray I’m doing good works for The Lord and to glorify Jesus.
